Detachment Deep Dive: Salamanders, Raven Guard, and More

Warhammer Community previews updated Space Marine detachments for Codex: Space Marines, highlighting the Salamanders’ Forgefather’s Seekers which grant an extra devastator-doctrine use and boost Vulkan He’stan’s Infernus Squads, while Flamers shift to fixed shots with Blast but Salamanders keep their edge via Forged in Fire and Wrath and Ruin strategic options. The Raven Guard detachment, Shadowmark Talon, makes Stealth universal for Adeptus Astartes and introduces -3" detection for Phobos/Scout units, plus Aethon Shaan’s ability to deploy to Strategic Reserves once per battle. Suppressed Weapons lets a unit shoot while remaining hidden. The piece also notes upcoming updates to Ultramarines, Iron Hands, and Imperial Fists, the 4 enhancements/6 stratagems per detachment, and teases more detachments in Codex: Space Marines ahead of the pre-order.
