Ready at Dawn, the studio behind The Order 1886, has reportedly lost up to a third of its headcount in the latest round of Meta (formerly Facebook) layoffs. The studio was acquired by Meta in 2020 to assist with the development of VR titles. The fate of the studio's founders, Andrea Pessino and Ru Weerasuriya, remains unclear. Fans of The Order 1886 have held out hope for a sequel, but it may be time to let go of that dream.
