Final Fantasy XIV lands on Switch 2 with a free trial, but it demands big storage

Final Fantasy XIV is now available on Switch 2 with a free trial that includes the base game and the Heavensward, Stormblood, and Shadowbringers expansions. Players must create a Nintendo Switch Online account and a Square Enix account, though an Switch Online subscription isn’t required to play. The trial caps characters at level 80 and omits multiplayer features, PvP, and Ultimate Raids. Square Enix will waive subscription fees for about a month after launch; after that, a 30-day free play period begins for new platform registrations, with a separate Switch 2 subscription required for this version.
