TL;DR

Square Enix announced a Switch 2 port of the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, set to launch July 23, 2026, featuring remade graphics, enhanced music, and quality-of-life improvements. The catch: save data from the original Switch version isn’t compatible with the Switch 2 version, and it’s unclear whether a free or paid upgrade will be offered for existing owners.
