Fortnite's July 16 Update Introduces Air, Batman, and Seven Sprites With Powerful Abilities

Epic Games adds three new Fortnite Sprites—Air, Batman, and Seven—in the v41.20 ‘New Sprite Day’ update on July 16. Air Sprite boosts sprint speed and jump height, negates fall damage, and its jump height increases with level; it’s found in random chests. Batman Sprite’s powers aren’t fully disclosed yet, but marketing labels it Mythic with several variants, and it’s unlocked through Weekly Quests, defeating the Catwoman NPC, or chest drops. Seven Sprite makes enemy foot trails visible to your squad for longer durations, scaling with level, and is found in random chests. The update brings the total Sprites to 19 (plus variants); Epic confirmed Batman and Air on July 16, with Seven’s debut appearing in some materials, and the patch coincides with the Summer update and Batman-themed skins.
