TL;DR

Rockstar Games has released a significant update for the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, improving gameplay and visuals to better resemble the original PS2 versions. The update, now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, includes a "Classic Lighting" option, improved fog, and fixes for animation bugs. While the remastered trilogy is now more enjoyable, it still doesn't perfectly emulate the original games. The update is not yet available for PS4, Xbox One, or Switch users.
