Kinoshita Returns to Direct Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Bringing Relics, Dungeons and New Skills

Capcom’s Capcom Spotlight revealed Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, with Kento Kinoshita returning as director for the expansion after Hideaki Itsuno’s departure. The add-on, due October 9, 2026, adds 12 new dungeons to the base map, brings back the Relic system on Norgan, and introduces lore around the Fallen Dragon and a mysterious woman named Eir. An August update will add two additional weapon skill slots, plus bug fixes, UI tweaks, pawn adjustments, and Dragonsplague balance including a cure (Dragonsbaulk Draught) for afflicted pawns. The overall focus is on QoL and performance improvements while expanding endgame depth.
