Luigi Mangione: From 'Among Us' Player to CEO Shooting Suspect
TL;DR
Luigi Mangione, charged with the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, reportedly played the video game 'Among Us' with friends, sparking discussions about the influence of video games on real-world violence. 'Among Us' is a comedic party game where players act as space assassins, but experts, including an Oxford study, argue there's no proven link between video games and real-world aggression. Mangione, a former Firaxis employee, is also noted for his gaming interests, but attributing his alleged crime to video games is considered unfounded.
