Nintendo composer Ryo Nagamatsu departs from company, including work on Zelda and Splatoon.

Ryo Nagamatsu, a composer who worked on some of Nintendo's biggest games, has announced his departure from the company. Nagamatsu joined Nintendo in 2006 and was the sole composer on games such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Tri Force Heroes, and Link’s Awakening on Switch. He also contributed to Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Kart 8, and more. Nagamatsu indicated on Twitter that it was an amicable split and he plans to work more directly to help those who need his help and to help the industry.
