"NVIDIA Delivers Free Portal: Prelude RTX Upgrade for GPU Users"
NVIDIA has released a remake of the fan-favorite mod, Portal: Prelude, on Steam for free. The updated release features full ray tracing, updated textures, new lighting, DLSS 3 for increased performance, NVIDIA Reflex for decreased latency, and RTX IO for quicker load times. The remaster was done by modders using NVIDIA's RTX Remix creator toolkit, and famed modders were hired to modernize assets and improve the lighting. Portal: Prelude is a prequel to the original game, offering a ten-hour campaign with nearly 20 test chambers and a fully voiced story. The remake is a showcase for the modding toolkit and is available for download on Steam for free, as long as you have the original Portal game.
