"Original Call of Duty: Warzone to Shut Down in September, Angering Players"

The original version of Call of Duty: Warzone, renamed to Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera, will be shut down on September 21, as the development team focuses on future Call of Duty content. The original map, Verdansk, has not been playable for some time, and the Pacific-based map Caldera is the only map playable in the original Warzone. Purchasable content from Warzone Caldera will not carry over to Warzone 2.0, but can still be used in other Call of Duty multiplayer modes. Changes between the original Warzone and Warzone 2.0 include new maps, loadout changes, AI enemies, and swimming.
