PS VR2 sales face disaster as launch disappoints.

Sales of Sony's PlayStation VR2 headset have been slow, with an estimated 270,000 units sold by the end of March. IDC's Francisco Geronimo suggests a price cut will be needed to avoid a "complete disaster" for the product, as VR headsets are not a priority for most consumers in the current economic climate. Sony has yet to publicly state how many units have been sold since launch, but executive deputy president Hiroki Totoki believes the headset has a "good chance" of outselling the first PlayStation VR.
