Season 2 2026 Kickoff: Vayne’s Demon Hunt, Arena Rework, and More

Riot lays out Season 2 of 2026: Vayne hunts demons near Demacia with motion comics, a shorter six-patch schedule, and a revamped Battle Pass that uses demon-themed loot orbs for direct-purchase skins; updates include QoL tweaks to role quests, new builds, and item changes (Dusk and Dawn, new starting items, removal of Trailblazer/Opportunity), plus returning Deathfire Touch and Stormraider’s Surge. Arena gets a major overhaul with Events (3x6, Bravery, Swift Arena), a new Petricite Grove map, Ancestral Woods tweaks, Augment Levels, 30+ new Arena Augments and guest appearances; WASD controls reach Ranked in patch 26.9 with champion-specific keybinds and an option to end game early for toxic behavior. A Discord integration beta launches, and Shop returns May 5 with Blue Essence Emporium on May 13.
