TL;DR

Stardew Valley creator Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone reassures console and mobile players that the 1.6 update is in progress and will be released "as soon as possible," with no specific release date yet. The update has already been enjoyed by PC players, featuring new content and references, but also allowing players to chug entire jars of mayonnaise, sparking a speedrunning competition. Barone also mentioned progress on his other game, Haunted Chocolatier, which he's eager to continue developing.
