Steam Deck Refresh: The First Proof of WiFi 6E Upgrade

Valve has submitted a new Steam Deck for certification with the FCC, indicating that a hardware refresh may be on the horizon. The device, identified as "Valve 1030," was filed under the name Quectel, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip vendor used by Valve. The certification process suggests that the new Steam Deck may be close to release. While it is unclear if the refresh will only include Wi-Fi 6E support, Valve has the ability to hide new features behind the Wi-Fi chip certification. Additionally, there are hints that a wireless PC VR headset may also be in the works.
