CD Projekt Red unveils Songs of the Past, a free, late-era Witcher 3 expansion set on the Letten island that focuses on friendship with Dandelion, overhauls combat with more active abilities and new tools like the iron chain, modernizes exploration and controls with a 2.0-style refresh, and brings back Geralt voiced by Doug Cockle. The story leans into Sapkowski’s fairy-tale roots with a dreamlike, darker aesthetic and uses focused 40-minute gameplay beats to keep players engaged, arriving as a day-one free release and on Switch.
