Aspyr accidentally released two different versions of the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered game across Steam and the Epic Games Store, with the latter initially including more enhancements but also some issues. Aspyr has since updated the Epic Games Store version to match the intended version released on Steam, removing the additional features. Fans are confused by the mishap and are awaiting a bigger update set to improve the game across the board. The remastered trilogy arrived with an upgraded version of the original games and included a sensitivity warning for racial and ethnic prejudices. The next mainline game in the franchise is currently being developed in Unreal Engine 5, with Amazon Games supporting Crystal Dynamics.
