Witcher 3 Remastered Patch Fixes Lighting, Hits Record Steam Players
CD Projekt Red released a patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered to address player complaints about overly bright lighting and fix DLSS issues on PC. The update, which includes adjustments to interiors and parity with the PC version, follows the game's launch earlier this week. The Remastered edition, which is free for existing owners, has driven the 11-year-old RPG to its highest-ever concurrent player count on Steam, surpassing previous peaks from 2015, 2020, and 2022. While the update includes significant visual upgrades like path tracing and DLSS 4.5, some players report that character models and combat still show their age, and third-party tools are being used to inject newer neural rendering features at a performance cost.
