The team expanded the Mii world with more space, refined visuals and voices without losing the series’ charm or the Mii characters’ distinct personalities, and added picking up Mii characters as a core mechanic that enables spontaneous interactions. Prototypes like string phones gave way to gameplay where outcomes arise from the characters’ choices, preserving agency and surprise. The result aims for endless inside jokes and heartwarming moments as players observe relationships and daily life on a larger island.
