TL;DR

Microsoft's Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers can now gift up to five 14-day free trials of Game Pass PC to friends and family who have never been enrolled before through the New Friend Referral program. The free subscriptions are only for Game Pass PC and are an attempt by Microsoft to boost Game Pass subscription numbers on PC. The perk is a nice way to temporarily send a couple hundred free games to the PC gamers in your life.
