Xbox Showcase to Feature Only In-Game Footage for First-Party Games

Microsoft's upcoming Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct will not feature full CG trailers, movies, or TV shows, according to Xbox marketing chief Aaron Greenberg. Instead, all first-party games will be shown with in-game footage, in-engine footage, or in-game footage with some cinematics. The showcase will run for around two hours and will not commit to a 12-month release deadline for games shown. The livestreamed event will take place on June 11 and will feature highly anticipated games such as Obsidian's Avowed and Playground's Fable.
