Polish video game developer CD Projekt used AI technology to recreate the voice of the late voice actor Miłogost Reczek for the Polish-language release of the expansion to Cyberpunk 2077, called Phantom Liberty. CD Projekt hired a different voice actor to perform new lines for the role and used voice-cloning software to alter the dialogue to sound like Reczek, paying tribute to his performance. The use of AI in creative work has raised ethical concerns, particularly in the entertainment industry, where it has been used to replace deceased actors.
