TL;DR

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has announced that E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, will be permanently discontinued after 28 years. The decision comes after the cancellation of the 2023 event due to lack of sustained interest. E3, known for its big video game announcements, has seen a decline in participation from major companies in recent years, with Nintendo and Sony opting for digital events instead. The ESA will now focus on advocating for its member companies and the industry workforce.
