Samsung's Galaxy Watches in Korea now detect sleep apnea

Samsung has announced that it will bring sleep apnea detection to its Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 6 series in South Korea in early 2024. The feature, approved by Korea's MFDS, will be available through the Samsung Health Monitor app and uses the blood oxygen sensor to analyze changes in oxygen levels during sleep. Sleep apnea is a condition where breathing stops during sleep and can lead to various health issues. This new feature aims to help users detect symptoms early and seek medical help.
