TL;DR

Spotify is testing an "Offline Mix" feature that automatically downloads a playlist of songs based on a user's listening history, which could be a game-changer for those with spotty internet connections. However, not all of Spotify's recent features have been successful, such as the AI DJ that interrupts users' listening with commentary. The company recently laid off 200 employees, affecting its podcasting arms Gimlet Media and Parcast.
