Instagram now allows Reels download in the US.
TL;DR
Instagram now allows US users to download Reels, but only for public accounts and with a watermark featuring the Instagram logo and account name. Users with public accounts can choose to disable the feature. The move brings Instagram closer to TikTok's advantage of allowing users to download and share videos on other social media platforms. However, Instagram's algorithms stopped promoting watermarked videos from rival platforms in 2021.
