TL;DR

Apple unveiled tvOS 27 at WWDC, promising a speed boost with about 30% faster app launches and smoother animations, faster Control Center and AirPlay/HomeKit interactions, plus Apple Music Lossless support and a redesigned Podcasts app. The update, launching later this year on second- and third-generation Apple TV 4K boxes, also marks the end of support for the Apple TV HD and the first-gen Apple TV 4K, and may lay groundwork for a future fourth-gen Apple TV 4K.
