Assa Abloy folds Level into Kwikset as founders exit amid layoffs

Assa Abloy has laid off most of Level Home’s staff and folded the Level smart-lock business into Kwikset, with Level’s founders (CEO John Martin and CTO Ken Goto) departing. A small core team will stay to finish a multi-family lock product, while Level assets move within ASSA ABLOY. Questions remain about Level’s cloud services and customer base as the business is restructured.
