TL;DR

Google One will be discontinuing its VPN service later this year due to low usage, with existing users being directed to third-party alternatives. Google will continue to offer VPN functionality through its Google Fi cellular service, and Pixel users with Pixel 7 or newer models will still be able to access VPN features via Pixel settings.
