"Google Pixel Update Sparks Severe Battery Drain and Overheating Concerns"
TL;DR
Pixel 7 and 6 owners are reporting battery drain and overheating issues after updating to the June security patch. Some users are experiencing multiple daily phone charges, signal disconnections, and heating problems. While the problem appears to be widespread, not all users are affected. Google has yet to acknowledge the issue, but a fix may be released soon as monthly updates are typically released on the first Monday of the month. This is not the first time an update has caused such problems, as a previous update to the Google app also led to battery drain and overheating issues.
