Google Workspace introduces passwordless sign-in with passkeys.

Google is rolling out passkey support for its Workspace and Cloud customers, allowing users to unlock their accounts using their phone or computer's PIN, fingerprint, or face recognition instead of a password. Passkeys are designed with user privacy in mind, and biometric data is never sent to Google's servers or other websites and apps. Passkeys can reduce phishing and social engineering attacks and are 2x faster and 4x less error-prone than passwords, according to early Google data. Passkeys are supported on Android, ChromeOS, iOS, macOS, and Windows, as well as Chrome, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
