A new teardown from iFixit shows off the internal layout of Apple's 15-inch MacBook Air, revealing a bigger battery and a tweaked speaker layout to accommodate the upgraded six-speaker sound system. However, the teardown process was described as "miserable" and a "maze," indicating that Apple hasn't made any efforts to improve the repairability of the MacBook Air design compared to the 13-inch model. The 15-inch MacBook Air includes a 66.5-watt‑hour battery, up from the 52.6-watt‑hour battery inside the 13-inch model, but both machines are expected to have similar battery life.
