Apple’s forthcoming MacBook Pro, rumored as a top OLED model nicknamed the MacBook Ultra, will reportedly use a hybrid oxide-TFT/tandem OLED panel produced by Samsung Display. The tech is expected to deliver higher brightness, better efficiency, and longer panel life, potentially pulling the wider OLED laptop market toward 14–16 inch machines; Omdia forecasts hybrid OLEDs growing from about 12.6% of OLED laptops in 2026 to 89.5% by 2033.
