Meta Rejects Google's VR and AR Partnership Proposal, According to Reports

Meta Platforms has reportedly declined a proposal from Alphabet to utilize Google's Android XR platform for its virtual and mixed-reality Quest headsets, as the partnership could hinder Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's ambition to dominate the next computational platform for AR, VR, and mixed reality. Instead, Meta is in discussions with hardware companies, including LG Electronics, to develop new VR devices using Quest's software. Apple recently launched its mixed reality headset, Vision Pro.
