Ford Slashes Prices of F-150 Lightning Trucks in Electric Vehicle Price War

The move comes as part of a price war initiated by Tesla, which has led to a slowdown in sales for legacy automakers. Ford cited improvements in scale and battery raw material costs as reasons for the price reduction. The company also announced the temporary closure of its Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Michigan for plant upgrades, with plans to triple the facility's annual run rate to 150,000 Lightning trucks.
