Jeff Bezos Makes Miami his New Home, Leaving Seattle Behind

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos announced that he is leaving Seattle, where he founded the company in 1994, and moving to Miami. Bezos cited wanting to be closer to his parents and partner, as well as the shifting operations of his rocket company, Blue Origin, to Cape Canaveral, Florida. He recently purchased two mansions in South Florida. Bezos expressed his emotional attachment to Seattle and its role in Amazon's growth, but the move comes amid criticism of Amazon's labor practices and Bezos himself.
