"NBCUniversal's Peacock Surpasses 28M Subscribers Despite Revenue Tumble"

NBCUniversal's streaming service, Peacock, gained 4 million subscribers in the latest quarter, bringing its total to 28 million. Despite a narrowed loss of $565 million, the service is still projected to have a loss of $2.8 billion for the year. Peacock's revenues increased by 64 percent to $840 million. Comcast, the parent company of NBCU, remains committed to Peacock as its anchor in the streaming space. Overall, Comcast's content and experiences division saw a slight increase in revenues, while the NBCUniversal studio division experienced a decline in EBITDA and revenue. Comcast's legacy cable TV business lost 490,000 subscribers, while theme park revenues rose 17 percent.
