"Israel-Hamas Hostage Deal: Freedom for Israeli Hostages and Palestinian Prisoners, Temporarily Halting the Fight"

Israel and Hamas have announced a four-day ceasefire agreement that includes the release of at least 50 Israeli women and minors held by Hamas in exchange for at least 150 Palestinian women and minors held in Israeli jails. The deal, brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S., will go into effect when the first Israeli hostages are released. The International Committee of the Red Cross will facilitate the hostage/detainee swaps, with lists of hostages and prisoners exchanged each day. Israel has said it is willing to extend the ceasefire and release more Palestinian prisoners if Hamas frees additional Israeli hostages.
