Activists in western Mexico are urging authorities to continue digging at a possible clandestine burial site after dogs were seen nibbling on human body parts. The site, located on the outskirts of Guadalajara, has already been disturbed by dogs, raising concerns that more evidence could be lost. The volunteer search group, The Light of Hope, representing families of missing people, has recovered 41 bags of human remains at the site. Guadalajara has been plagued by cartel violence, with numerous bodies dumped at clandestine sites. Animals have previously led authorities to bodies in Mexico, highlighting the challenges faced in identifying victims and investigating crimes.
