TL;DR
A 7-year-old girl was killed and several others injured, including two children, in a gang-related shooting in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood. Police believe it was a targeted act and not a random act of violence, likely gang-related. The 7-year-old died after being shot in the head, while a 1-year-old boy and a 7-year-old boy were in critical condition. The adult victims were ages 19 to 40, and the offenders' actions were described as "horrific and unacceptable" by the Chicago Police Department.
