TL;DR

Jim Carrey has returned to reprise his role as Dr. Robotnik in 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3,' despite previously suggesting he might retire from acting. At the UK premiere, Carrey humorously cited financial needs as a reason for his return, though it's unclear if he was joking. The film is set to release in US theaters on December 20.
