SAG-AFTRA and Studios Set to Resume Negotiations

Negotiations between SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers will resume on Wednesday as they work to resolve the 88-day actors strike. The union is seeking an 11% increase in minimum rates, 2% of revenue from streaming platforms, and concessions on the use of artificial intelligence. The strike has halted major studio production, leading to postponed film releases and challenges in debuting films at festivals. The Writers Guild of America ratified its new contract, formally ending their labor dispute. SAG-AFTRA issued a statement of support for the WGA ratification.
