"2023 Wildlife Photographer of the Year: Captivating Images of Nature's Wonders"

The winners of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition have been announced, showcasing the beauty and fragility of nature. The images, chosen from nearly 50,000 entries, depict various species from around the world and highlight the impact of human activities on wildlife. The grand title winner, Laurent Ballesta, captured an image of a tri-spine horseshoe crab, an ancient species now threatened by habitat destruction and overfishing. Other winning photographs include barn owls in an abandoned building, northern gannets breeding on a Scottish island, fireflies in an Indian forest, and killer whales hunting a seal in Antarctica. The exhibition will be displayed at the London Natural History Museum and will tour internationally.
