Covid vaccine linked to lower heart risk in major veteran study

A JAMA Internal Medicine study of more than 1 million U.S. veterans found that receiving the 2024–2025 Covid-19 vaccine is associated with a lower risk of Covid-related major adverse cardiovascular events, particularly among those aged 75 and older; however, the study’s limitations include an older, predominantly white male population and no analysis of variant-specific vaccine effectiveness.
