San Diego County's Boil-Water Advisory Lifted

The boil-water advisory that was issued for parts of San Diego County, including Imperial Beach, Coronado, Chula Vista, Nestor, Otay Mesa, and San Ysidro, has been lifted after comprehensive testing revealed that the water is now safe to drink. The advisory was initially issued due to the presence of E. coli in the drinking water system following Tropical Storm Hilary. California American Water, the water service provider, has advised customers to flush their plumbing and discard ice from ice makers. The county is working with businesses to provide guidance on resuming operations, and affected businesses are encouraged to complete a voluntary survey to determine eligibility for state and federal assistance.
