Canadian-Israeli peace advocate Vivian Silver remembered for her pursuit of peace, tragically killed by Hamas

Vivian Silver, an Israeli-Canadian peace advocate, has been confirmed killed in an attack by Hamas in Gaza. Silver, who lived near the border with Gaza, was a lifelong advocate for peace and the founder of the movement Women Wage Peace. Her remains were found at her house five weeks after the attack. Her family had initially believed she was kidnapped, but there was no evidence of a struggle. Over 100 members of her kibbutz were killed in the attack, and there are calls for a humanitarian pause to allow aid into Gaza and the release of hostages taken by Hamas.
