Israeli Protesters Demand Netanyahu's Resignation Over Gaza Attack and Hamas Hostage Situation

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a stopover in Cyprus to thank the nation for temporarily hosting American citizens who fled from Israel during the Gaza war. He then traveled to Turkey to discuss the situation in Gaza with Turkish officials. Blinken also made a surprise visit to the West Bank, meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to address civilian suffering in Gaza and discuss a post-conflict scenario. Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes continued to target Gaza, with reports of at least 40 people killed in an attack on the Maghazi refugee camp. The World Health Organization documented 102 attacks on healthcare facilities in Gaza since the conflict began. Iran warned that the U.S. would be hit hard if a ceasefire is not implemented in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu distanced himself from a minister's suggestion of using a nuclear bomb on Gaza. Protests calling for Netanyahu's resignation and the release of hostages in Gaza took place in Israel and around the world.
