Tragic End for Tanzanian Student Held Hostage by Hamas

The Tanzanian government has confirmed the death of Clemence Felix Mtenga, a student who was taken hostage by Hamas during the attack on Israel. It is unclear how he died. The Tanzanian foreign ministry is in touch with Israel regarding the other Tanzanian hostage, Joshua Mollel. Over 230 hostages were taken in the assault, with at least 1,200 people killed. The hostages come from 25 countries, including one unidentified South African. Mtenga and Mollel were in Israel as part of an agricultural internship program and had only arrived in September. Mtenga's family has been informed, and efforts are being made to repatriate his body.
