Prigozhin criticized the war, which he said had failed to "demilitarize" Ukraine, and warned that public anger at the lavish lifestyles of Russia's rich and powerful could lead to their homes being stormed by people with "pitchforks." He also claimed that 20,000 Wagner fighters had died in the battle for Bakhmut.
