"Putin's Rare Middle East Trip: Strengthening Alliances and Asserting Influence"

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a rare foreign trip, where he is expected to discuss various topics including the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, as well as oil production. The UAE and Saudi Arabia do not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has issued an arrest warrant for Putin. The Russian leader is also scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and discuss de-escalation in the Israel-Hamas conflict, as well as conflicts in Syria, Yemen, and Sudan. Putin's visit comes as Russia seeks to project influence and counter Western attempts to isolate it.
